Purpose

To develop an innovative, demand-oriented and societal curriculum for the Human Technology programme, focused on solving real issues in Rotterdam.

Duties and Responsibilities

Educational leadership during change and implementation of:
Curriculum development using the 4C-ID design model for complex learning. Rubrication of professional competence profiles for detailed issue analysis. Implement 360-degree feedback interviews with students, teachers and industry professionals. Organising and facilitating training open badges for micro-learning and micro-credentials. Collaboration and co-creation with a wide variety of stakeholders at regional and national levels.

Creating a learning environment with a high level of psychological trust.
Applying a cooperative and interdisciplinary approach, which led to strong social cohesion and joint problem solving in specific neighbourhoods of Rotterdam.

Impact and Results

Implementation of a programme including 21 real-life learning projects in 7 application areas such as Construction and Housing, Logistics, Healthcare, and more. Improvement in student satisfaction and engagement through faster feedback loops. Decrease in dropouts and increase in graduation rates. Increased collaboration with businesses and improved social impact.
